The much awaited 'Swami Vivekananda's Statue Unveiling' function went off well on 12th January,2015,Monday in Swami Vivekananda Mandapam,Prasanthi Spiritual Park,Muralinagar.The program organising was taken up by VVYM.
First the program was started with a Youth Rally from Prasanthi Park to Varama Complex and Varma Complex to Park via 60 feet road. Swamiji Small 3 feet statue was arranged on Jagruthi Van provided by RK Anil.Children from Sarada Adhyayayana Mandali(Rani Memorial Vidyalam),Ganga Tutions,Balabhanu School and For the People Ashram students in good number participated in the Rally with National Youth Day Slogans.
Statue unveiling was done by Senior Vetern and Muralinagar Residents Association Sri Brahmanaiah Garu at 10.15 a.m.Statue garlanding was done by Sri Pridhviraj(Vizag Bar Association),Sri Sathish Varma,Sri PSN Raju,Ari ARK Raju,Sri G.Venkateswararao(President,Prasanthi Park Maintenance Member's Association,Smt U.Subha(Vanitha Walkers),Sri M.Satayanarayana(Gita Samithi),Sri KBN Varma(RK Mission Managing Committee member).
Gita recitation was done by Gita Samithi.Sarada Stotram,Swadesimantram and Songs were sung by Sarada Adhyayana Mandali children.
A book stall on RK Math Literature was arranged.
Prasad and literature was distributed to the participants.
Around 300 people attended the function.
VVYM volunteers worked hard for days in making the program a grand success.
VVYM thanks Prasanthi Park Mainteanance Members Association(Specially Sri V.Srirammurthy garu) and Sri G.V.Ratnam,RK Devotee (who actually introduced VVYM to Prasanthi Spiritual park ) for giving us the opportunity to work for this noble project.
