VVYM Youth Convention-Aug,2009 Report

REPORT ON YOUTH CONVENTION HELD ON 16.08.09 AT PATANJALI YOGA KENDRA, MVP COLONY, VISAKHAPATNAM

Programme started at 9AM with Mahamandal anthem and Swadeshi Mantra. Sri RS Premkumar, Chief guest, started the Youth convention by performing Jyothiprajwalana.Earlier Sri KVLN Murthy,VVYM member garlanded Swamiji portrait. Secretary, VVYM in his welcome address said the purpose of this youth convention is to introduce Swami Vivekananda to 'YOU'TH.

Sri RS Prekumar, Fist VVYM President, Chief guest for the occasion gave a power point presentation on Keys to Success. In this speech, The need of a Goal in life, character required to achieve the goal, the need of Ideal is discussed and proposed Swami Vivekananda as an Ideal for 'YOU'TH with reasons to do so. Also the concept of Mahamandal's study circle and Be & Make, the Aim of Mahamandal, is introduced to YOUTH and discussed.

Sri Veda Bhaskaram, Patanjali Yoga Kendra Incharge spoke briefly about four Yogas and also explained about Yama, Niyama.

Sri M. Satyanaraya Raju, Ex-President of VVYM, RK Math Devotee spoke briefly about spiritual knowledge that he experienced as follower of Sri Ramakrishna.

Swami Guneshanandaji Maharaj, RK Mission Ashrama, Visakhapatnam spoke about Karma Yoga. In this speech Bhagavat Gita Slokas related to Karma Yoga chanted and explained in minute details with real world examples and also explained about how people are surviving in the real world instead of living. A brief power point presentation given about the Indian people who are successful in the recent times and explained How Swamiji Ideas will give strength to 'YOU'TH.

Mr Arjunakumar,Srujanavani Member spoke about real Independence.

Arise!Awake Exhibition on Swami Vivekananda was arranged.

A book-stall on Sri Ramakrishna Vivekananda and Vedanta Literature was organised by Sri P.L.Narasimharao.

Youth Convention was attended by around 100 students.

Convention ended with Vote of thanks by VVYM Youth camps Incharge Sri Vinjamuri Viswanath.
