VVYM One Day Youth Camp,Aug,12 Report
VVYM ONE DAY YOUTH TRAINING CAMP Held at VSKP,26-08-2012,
As part of Swami Vivekananda’s 150th Birth Anniversary Celebrations,VISAKHAPATNAM VIVEKANANDA YUVA MAHAMANDAL conducted “One Day Youth Camp” on 26.08.2012,Sunday from 9 a.m. to 5 P.M. at NSTL Community Hall,Visakhapatnam. Nearly 200 Campers attended the Camp from different corners and educational institutions in and around Visakhapatnam.
By 9.00 A.M. our Mahamandal Flag hoisting was done by Our ABVYM Orissa State Branch Secretary Sri B.R. SATPATI followed by Mahamandal Anthem and Swadesi Mantra. Jyothi Prajwalana was done by RK Mission Ashrama Swamijis Rev. Swami Garimanandaji and Swami Nitya Yoganandaji Maharaj.
Welcome address was given by Sri D.Venkatarao,Asst Secretary,VVYM who took special initiative for organising the camp.Swami Garimanandaji sang some songs on Swamiji with his Melodious Voice.Swami Nitya Yoganandaji spoke on “Manifesting the Inner Strength according to Swami Vivekananda”.
Sri B.R.SATPATI garu talked on 'MENTAL CONCENTRATION WHY & HOW?'
Sri C.Bhakar Sarma Garu(Director, Gayatri Women’s Engg College) shared his association with VVYM during his tenure as Professor of Andhra University Chemical Engg Department by way of gracing the Study Circle and NYD Celebrations.He advised students to inculcate value based education.
Afterwards Sri PSN Raju addressed and influenced the campers with his thought provoking lecture on “Our Motherland the Eternal Land”. Meanwhile to give mind relaxation our Former Balavihar member influenced the campers with his beautiful voice by presenting his songs on Swamiji.
Mr. Y.V. Tarak influenced the campers with power point presentation on “SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY & SELF-DISICIPLINE”.
We arranged different experts to give message/group discussions on Right to Information Act(Sri K.Venkata Ramana),Orphanages(SriE.Venkatarao), Blood Donation/Eye Donation&Naturopathy(SriA.Visveswararao),Suryanamaskarams (Sri K.Mangapathi) .All the campers showed much enthusiasm to know about these concepts. The speakers are admirers of Swamiji and have not deviated from the camp purpose.All were given VVYM mementoes.
Finally our VVYM Founder & Former President Sri N.Lakshmi Narayana explained our Mahamandal Character Building Methods along with MIRACLE THAT OBEYS YOU & Self-Evaluation Chart.
We are happy to inform you that, after a gap of 17 years, our VVYM took a great project to publish VIVEK BHARATHI (TELUGU QUARTELY OF AP MAHAMANDAL) on this auspicious occasion and copies were distributed among all the campers.
The campers shared their camp experiences.
Swamiji Literature was given free of cost.
A bookstall on RK –SV literature was arranged by Sri PLN Rao Garu.
Sri D.Venkatarao and Chy Vinay(VVYM Members) were given mementoes for their active role in the camp
Finally Mahamandal Flag down was done by Sri B.R. SATPATI followed by Mahamandal Anthem and Swadesi Mantra.

VVYM Joins Hands For Green Environment
VVYM added a new program in its calender on 10.06.2012 by planting 15 Neem trees in Prasanthi park, Sector 4, MVP Colony, Visakhapatnam. VVYM members and Prasnathi park Committee members have actively participated in the program. Members themselves digged the holes and planted the trees. All the members made a resolution to plant 150 trees in this year as a part of Swami Vivekanda's 150th birthday celebrations

Sri B.Rudramurthy Garu Retired from Rly Service
Most respected Sri B.Rudra Murthy garu was retired from Rly Services on 31-03-2012.Retirement functions were organised at Eco Rly electric loco shed on 30-03-2012.SGSS and VVYM Members in good number attended the lunch hosted by Sri Murthy garu and farewell organised by the staff.Everybody lauded the sincerity and unselfishness of Sri BRM.
Sri Ganapathi Seva Samithi, organised the retirement function of Sri BRM at Goorkhaline on 01-04-2012,sunday between 6 p.m. to 9 p.m.(Sri Ramnavami day). The function was presided over by Sri N.Lakshminarayana,former president of VVYM. Shramik union leaders attended.Mementoes were given to the persons retired( 2 more who retired few months ago were also honoured).The felcitation(Sanmanapatram) prepared in the name of VVYM was read and handed over to Sri BRM. SGSS arranged dinner to the participants.

EC Meetings/ Former Office-bearers Partcipation
In the recent EC meetings organised by VVYM, former office-bearers who are staying far away were attended and gave encouragement to the present EC members.
On 12-02-2012,EC Meeting was held at Prasanthi Park,Muralinagar.This was attended by Sri P.Muniswamy garu(presently in Bangalore),former vice-president of VVYM
On 15-04-2012,EC Meeting was held at SGSS,Goorkhaline.This was attended by Sri B.Praveen kumar(presently in Saudi Arabia),former treasurer of VVYM.

Polytechnic College Premises VSC Restarted
Vivekananda Study Circle which was conducted earlier (2008) at Govt.Polytechnic college premises was restarted on the occasion of Sri Ramakrishna's 177 birth anniversary on 23-02-2012 at Prasanthi Park,muralinagar which is 1 kilometer distance from college.There is a plan to construct Swami Vivekananda Mandapam in Prasanthi Park by the residents of Muralinagar under the guidance of Sri V. Sree Rama Murthy Garu.
The study circle is being conducted since then on every sunday between 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Around 6 boys are attending.The response is expected to increase once the exams are over.

National Youth Day Celebrations 2012 - News
Subject: Photos and Videos of National Youth Day celebrations 2012 in Ramakrishna Math Hyderabad
Dear Friend/Admirer/Devotee,
The National Youth Day celebrations went on in our Ashrama for 3 days. On the first day there were more than 3500 students, on the second more than 4000 students and on 12th, the third day, around 7000 students attended. All three days the participants were different and had lunch in the Ashrama. We accomodated them in the spacious lawns, Sarada Vanam, Vivekananda Auditorium and Puja Mandapam and wherever else there was place. Those who cannot see the programme because of distance were served by wide LCD TV sets and a giant screen in Auditorium. May inspiring speeches, Q & A sessions and other kind of interactions and cultural programmes were there. On the last day evening our Vivekananda Institute of Languages celebrated its Convocation day. All the three days we had important guests like IAS, IPS officers and other speakers from various parts of the country. Will update them soon.
